Indiana Abortion by Madison S.

https://www.cnn.com/2019/03/29/politics/supreme-court-abortion-indiana/index.html

There is many new abortion cases within the Supreme Court, one being the Indiana Abortion Access law. In 2016, an abortion law was signed into act by Vice President Mike Pence. It was blocked from going into effect. It states that a state can decline an abortion due to race, sex or disability of the fetus and require abortion doctors to inform patients of the prohibition. Several appeal courts have ruled it unconstitutional, but it still is setting in the Supreme Court. They haven't decided if they should review the case. Anticipation is building.  Many that are awaiting for the verdic are saying that the lawl will go into order with a 45 day transition period. The transition period is to see how the law affects the people it effects. With this transition period, the courts then could decide whether or not the law will work. Many aren't sure how the law will act in the Supreme Court. Justice Roberts voted against a similar law a couple years ago. Republicans are hoping he doesnt switch side, but they are fearing that he will.

What is your view on abortion? Should the Supreme Court review this case? Do you think the Supreme Court will decided to review this case?

  1. I am totally against abortion. The case does not need to be reviewed because it should be up to the state what they do. I don't feel that they will review it.

  2. I’m pro-choice. I believe it is unlikely that they will review this case.
